Rare antique hunting brooch featuring two genuine deer grandles (elk/deer canine teeth) mounted in an ornate 800 silver setting. This piece was likely made in Austria or Southern Germany around 1890–1910.
The decorative silverwork with braided wire ornamentation is characteristic of traditional hunting and Trachten jewelry from the Historicism period. The reverse is hallmarked "800" for silver.
Deer grandles have long been prized hunting trophies and were often incorporated into fine jewelry. Today, original pieces such as this are highly collectible among hunting memorabilia and antique jewelry enthusiasts.
The jewelry box shown in the photos is for display purposes only and is not included in the sale. This listing is for the brooch only.
