Beautiful antique Catholic prayer and devotional book titled “Mariengruß”, offered together with the pictured rosary with light-colored beads, metal crucifix, and old holy cards.
The book is a German Catholic prayer and edification book, especially dedicated to the veneration of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was written by P. Georg Rufin, priest of the Archdiocese of Vienna. Inside the book there is an ecclesiastical approbation from the Episcopal Ordinariate of Budweis dated August 9, 1897. The book was printed and published in Winterberg by J. Steinbrener.
The light-colored cover is beautifully decorated with a raised cross and floral motif and has a metal clasp. Together with the rosary and devotional cards, this set has a wonderful antique religious character.
