Antique Catholic Prayer Book “Brot der Engel” 1903 with Rosary – German Religious Devotional Book

Beautiful antique Catholic prayer and devotional book titled “Brot der Engel” / “Bread of the Angels”, published in 1903 in Saarlouis, Germany.

The book contains religious instructions and prayers, especially for devotees of the Blessed Sacrament and the Blessed Virgin Mary. It was written by P. Irenäus Bernauer, a Franciscan priest. Inside the book there is an ecclesiastical printing permission / Imprimatur dated 1902.

The cover has a lovely aged look with gold decoration and the German inscription “Ehre sei Gott”, meaning “Glory be to God.” Inside is a religious illustration of Jesus with the Sacred Heart.

The listing also includes the pictured antique rosary with black beads and a metal crucifix. Both pieces show beautiful age, patina, and devotional character.
